JORDAN
+ ABOUT
Jordan is an Arab kingdom in the Middle East, at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. The majority of the population lives in the different cities. The deserts are very sparsely populated and here are only a few nomads.
Jordan has also a large collection of archaeological sites, ranging from important biblical attractions to temples carved into the rock.
PetraWith Petra, Jordan has one of the world's top tourist highlights. Petra, the world famous ruins of the capital of the Nabataeans is located in the south of Jordan. This historic city was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Most tourists come to Jordan for Petra.

Dead SeaIn Jordan you also find the Dead Sea, actually this is not a sea but a salt lake. It's Jordan's largest lake. Jordan shares the lake with Palestine and Israel. Floating and 'swimming' in the Dead Sea is one of the highlights.
AmmanThe capital, Amman, is Jordan's most populous city and the country's economic and cultural centre. The city forms a great base for exploring the country and does, despite popular belief, hold a few items of interest to the traveler. The city is generally well-appointed for the traveller, reasonably well-organized, and the people are very friendly.
