More countries are discovering and investing in LGBTQ tourism. The average LGBTQ traveller spends 30% more than a regular traveller and travels a lot more. About half of LGBTQ travellers spend more than 5,000 euro each year and even 14% spend more than 10,000 euro. Only 5% of LGBTQ people have to travel during the school holidays. This allows most LGBTQ people to travel more than straight people. 65% of LGBTQ travellers take one or more two-week vacations each year, and 42% travel more than 5 weekends a year, almost 8% even 10 weekends.
